Info
Join us on the International Day of Women and Girls in Science for an empowering event titled “Breaking the Glass Ceiling”. This event is dedicated to exploring and addressing the persistent challenge of the ‘glass ceiling’ in academia and the scientific community.
The ‘glass ceiling’ refers to the invisible barriers that prevent women and minorities from advancing to the highest levels in their professional careers, particularly in fields traditionally dominated by men. In academia, this phenomenon is evident in the underrepresentation of women in senior positions, disparities in research funding, and the challenges faced in balancing professional and personal commitments.
Our event is specifically aimed at early career researchers, focusing on the issues, contributions, and discussions that are pivotal in working towards a sustainable transformation of the scientific landscape. We believe that the empowerment of the next generation of scientists is crucial for breaking these barriers and fostering an inclusive and diverse academic world.
We invite all members of our scientific communities, irrespective of gender, to be part of this event. Let’s work together to shatter the glass ceiling and pave the way for a more equitable and inclusive scientific community!
Networking Opportunities – RESET Forum
We warmly invite all interested attendees to join the RESET Forum. By signing up you can connect with fellow participants, and engage in deeper discussions on the pressing issues addressed during the event. The forum serves as a space for exchanging ideas, sharing experiences, and collaborating on initiatives that drive forward gender equality and diversity in science and academia. Don’t miss this chance to be part of a vibrant community committed to creating a more inclusive and diverse scientific world.
