The ΙEEE Women in Engineering Greece Section AG, the Gender Equality Office of the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) and the RESET European Project, with the participation of the School of of Mining and Metallurgical Engineering NTUA, invite you at their 2 days events, on Thursday 21st and Friday 22nd of November 2024, honoring the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women.

Event Goals

Main goals of the events are to:

• Raise awareness and inform about gender-based violence, discrimination, sexism and other harassing behaviors,
• Conduct workshops to:
  • Inform and train participants on ways to deal with sexist and harassing behaviors (of various kinds),
  • Raise awareness regarding the ways that each and every one of us can contribute to the establishment of an equal and inclusive work environment.

Programme

During the 1st day (21/11/2024) a speech and a training workshop will be held on gender discrimination, sexism and other forms of violence. Activities of the 1st day will be held, in parallel, in Athens (Multimedia Rooms NTUA Library) and in Thessaloniki (Amphitheatre I KEDEA – AUTh).

On the 2nd day (22/11/2024) the ECE School joins forces with the School of Mining and Metallurgical Engineering to jointly participate in a workshop that will be held by the organization Women on Top, whose mission is to professional and economic empowerment of women and work equality.
