On 8/9/2021 AMNESIA and RESET co-organized a workshop on data anonymization. The workshop aimed at familiarizing RESET partners with data anonymization and AMNESIA tool.

During the session, AMNESIA team ran a demo on how to use AMNESIA tool. RESET partners had the chance to be guided step by step on the usage of the tool, discuss potential challenges according to RESET research data and learn more about data anonymization techniques.

After the workshop the 4 RESET Universities (i.e., AUTh, UPORTO, Lodz, Bordeaux) used AMNESIA to anonymize the data collected during the state-of-play analysis phase (Step 2 of the GEAR tool guide) of their Gender Equality Plans development. AMNESIA team and helpdesk fully supported RESET partners during the data anonymization implementation.

AMNESIA proved to be a powerful tool to perform research for Gender Equality Plans development being able to share results that satisfy GDPR guidelines by using data anonymization algorithms.
